I bought a Seiko diver 200m.Black face with blue and black bezel.Im new here and will try to add photos. The problem is,,the dial says nh36-336lt,,but the case back says 4r36-04y0.I opened the back and the most. Is nh36.Anyone know why the difference in numbers?
So the NH36 is definitely the movement number, however I do find it interesting that your caseback number isnt in alignment with even the NH36 listed. Even the old vintage Seikos stamp the movement number on the front and transition that to the back. For example, I own a Seiko 6138-0030 Kakume and on the dial it says 6138-0045T (so movement number & dial number) and on the back it says 6138-0030. Do you have a pic of the caseback? May I ask where you got this? Cheers
So that's kind of a confusing watch - superficially it looks like a SRP787 "batman" but the minute hand is the wrong color (also should be blue) and all the dials for that one I can find reference the 4R36 instead. Also the SRP787 doesn't have a red-tipped second hand. Both the 4R36 and the NH36 are essentially the same movement, but the NH36 is made by SII and sold to third parties usually (IE it is a NH35 that is in the ubiquitous Invicta sub-look alikes these days). I don't think that Seiko uses the NH labeled movements in anything Seiko branded - typically they would have the 4R36. Additionally though this appears to have a Kanji day disk? Which would indicate JDM, rather than export. All of this makes me wonder if this has been modified from stock, or worse.
I'd say this link has some interesting information: https://seikoparts.wordpress.com/2018/07/19/wonders-of-india-the-new-china/ And this: https://instahello.com/profile/det.briscoe/photo/1810262854777885535_5512937011 I'm about 99.9% certain what you have there is a fake.
