·I picked up this lovely Bell-matic at auction a few weeks back and am loving it... It's a full set, 4006-6031 from October 1972 but must have sat on the shelf as the original sale receipt was April 1975. Back in the day, digital watches with infernal bleeping alarms were only just coming to market - if you wanted a proper watch with an alarm in it, you needed a mechanical one (see more on W&W)
I thought it would be fun to record the actual process of the alarm going off...
It's in amazing condition, with box & papers, including the original till receipt,
There are a few light scratches on the crystal and case/bracelet, but only really visible under magnification. Original purchase price £46.80, or equivalent to about £450 today...
