I imagine the link has been removed by eBay, I have just received an email confirming all our suspicions that it was a fraudulent seller. Money back in account now. Like I said, I feel £30 odd pounds was never really at risk.

As for me being greedy about a watch, I think this sentiment is misplaced, I think many of us here have taken a gamble on watches which we are not 100% sure about. It is the nature of the hobby.


Sorry but you couldn't have squeezed 1% of being sure about that watch.

Just be mindful by you doing it leads to maybe a newbie doing it. You have over 200 posts it's up to you to set a example now. 😉

I bet if a crate of watches fell off the back of a truck in Philly it wouldn't even hit the asphalt...

Nothing that falls off the back of a truck in Philly EVER hits the pavement. 😉

You are certainly right, I suppose I thought the chance was less than 1/100, but also thought my chance of loosing the money was 0. Next time I shall keep in mind about the example I set 😉.

Hi All, I must take ownership of this as I posted the thread . All the doubters & tin hat wearers were right ( to use replies ) & hopefully, no one has lost any money on this & if they do I can only apologise . Lesson learnt big time , but sometimes the bay does post genuine bargains .

If it's any consolation, everyone here has been a fool to some extent at least once. I put myself in the "Village Idiot" category at least once a week.

Your original query was okay as you weren't sure. Yes, there are bargains still on eBay, but not like there used to be.
