A fine example of the 6306 diver, with its 21 jewel, hacking movement. All parts are original, with the exception of a sapphire crystal with an AR coating, which was installed at its last service approximately 5 years ago.

Dial is very clean with cream colored tritium plots. The lume color on the original hands is a very close match to the dial. I believe these hands have lived with this dial since new from the factory. Together, the dial and the hands present themselves as a nicely matching set with great aesthetics. In direct sunlight, it really pops.

The case and caseback are both in fine shape. Both have minor swirls and dings as shown.

The original Bezel is gorgeous, and the tritium pip is intact and a close color match to the dial plots and hands The silver triangle index surrounding the pip has that lovely wrap as it rolls over the inside edge of the bezel. It is an excellent example, with just a few scuffs.

The 21 jewel 6306A movement was serviced approximately 5 years ago, and continues to run well.

The Quickset day/date feature works correctly via the crown. Daywheel is in English and Kanji. Both day and date turn over smoothly at midnight as expected. The movement hacking mechanism also works correctly and is a neat feature of the 6306. The screw-down crown engages the winding tube and takes 3+ turns to seat it home.

The strap is an original GL 831 in fair shape. The strap itself is rather rigid, but has no cracks or visible damage. However the keeper near the buckle is splitting, and will not last long. I have added a second Seiko keeper, positioned closer to the buckle to take some of the stress off the original keeper as seen in the photo below.

All in, it is a nice honest example of the 6306 JDM spec diver. I believe it to be one of the better examples available now.

This sale is part of a continuing reorganization of my collection. I’m building up a stash of “dry powder” for some anticipated future purchases.

Price is $1100 USD, exclusive of any transactional costs, delivered to the USA. Paypal works well for me, and other methods can be discussed and mutually agreed to. Overseas shipment is also possible following a discussion and joint agreement. I accept returns only if the watch is mis-represented.
