路For sale is a rare seiko diver 6159-7001 hi beat movement for restoration (sold as is) . Seiko aficionados will know what's up.
This is the 'Grand Daddy' of seiko divers, and the companies second iteration into the market in the 60s after the 62MAS
The watch needs some obvious TLC, but is a rare and desirable piece nonetheless and with a little help this will turn out a gem. I was going to send this to a specialist for repair but haven't got around to it, and want to focus on other projects.
Case is in good conditon for age.
Crown unscrews, but doesn't screw in all the way.
Bezel assembly detaches, but is all original.
Dial text is clear, unfortunately the chapter ring has faded. Looks to be poorly relumed in the past, in its time as a tool watch, which can be rectified. Marks that can be seen, are present on the mineral glass crystal.
Movement does not currently run, but the auto winder is spinning. I had my WM take a photo of the movement and case disassembled, but he missed photos of the dial -_-
I am asking $3750 USD - Open to offers!
