does the movement look Ok or is it shot??
Movement looks OK, maybe a bit of rotor rubbing due to wear in the bearing assembly.
Could be fixed with a donor assembly but probably not worth worrying about.

So I’m guessing $10 was a good deal? It seems like prices for these watches are all over the place and finding one isn’t the easiest.

I got a much better photo today. The hands look better than I thought and the dial seems to be really good! 😊 Still can’t even see the spring bars to get the rubber strap off?? Any suggestions?

Do me a favor and turn the hands forward and see if the day wheel will center.

Seems like only the numbers change, the day wheel seems to be stuck. And the watch is running very fast. Sounds like service time! Is it worth to service this watch?

Kinda looked like the hairspring was out of place. Maybe just magnetized.
You live in the US?

Yes, any recommendations? And how much is this worth. Is it worth it to service??

If you lived in the Austin area, I'd say: drop by and we would get it running and that damn day wheel fixed. I'm afraid it's probably more to have it serviced than it's worth. Seiko's are easy to work on. You can ask a watchmaker....

This is my 6119. It was way worse than yours. Bezel insert was the same. Silver dial was trashed. Put it all together from a box of Seiko scrap parts. I love it. Nothing close to original. I call it 'modded' 😉

That's a fun thrift store find, even if it's in rough shape!

The bad news is that a servicing might cost more than the watch is worth, given the condition.
