Here's a watch that caught my Newbie eye. It doesn't seem to pass the MOY test though... redial? (though listing says "original") Omega Vintage Database says this case is Deluxe Pie-Pan from 1959 but the sellers description mentions the movement serial dates it at 1961. Generally bad pictures but what do you think of this watch and asking price?
The dial is poorly painted to give the illusion of a pie pan. If you notice, the listing never states the dial is a pie pan or that it's even original. I believe that's a purposeful omission, designed to deceive, thus allowing him to cover his arse if he's challenged.
I wondered about this weird dial as well. Seller has had 18K+ posts to WatchNet. Stands to reason that these could include the good, the bad and the ugly.
Watch also looks heavily polished, this is what a ref. 14381 should look like... Notice under the Omega there are only two lines on mine, from my understanding the 14381 shouldn't have the "Officially Certified" line.
Lovely example [emoji108] I would steer clear deafboy with a dial like that. The star looks very off centre too.
Luckily for the hen - it got two teeth... Just two serialnumbers apart from mine: ex cristos71 https://omegaforums.net/threads/constellation-pie-pan-14381-18kt-rg-cal-551.28771/#post-321225
