·Hello everyone, I’m Logan from Houston! Hope everyone is doing well. I was handed down my great grandfathers Omega Seamaster De Ville. A family heirloom. An absolute gem. Would love some more info on a few things.
I know pictures of internal will help a lot. I’m getting it serviced soon and will get pics of case and movement.
What I do know, it’s engraved 11-17-71 on the back (25 year service award). 14k gold filled engraved between lugs. And T Swiss Made T below 6 o clock.
My main question. I’m having a very hard time finding this dial online. Pardon me for not knowing the exact terminology. But the overwhelming majority of dials I see have the 4 minute marks in between the hour marks. Mine has that, as well as 4 smaller marks in between those. Second mark s I’m assuming. Again forgive me. I’m new to this hobby, but want to learn. The ones like mine that I have found, were called two different names. One said “racetrack dial” and another said “technical dial” any ideas/info on the dial?
Thanks in advance!
