    Greetings all,
I recently saw a Seiko on what appeared to be a soft 'seatbelt' style NATO in a similar shade to Admiralty Grey, of MoD fame. I know some may well critique this as not a technically-accurate description of the colour, but it looks good/close enough to me... does anyone know where i can procure one of these? My Phoenix NATOs in AG aren't the most hard-wearing (or comfortable) of straps..

Cheers, Standy. Had a quick look and you're right, but not *quite* the right shade of (dark) grey for me.... are there any alternatives?

Looks like that one is a Bark & Jack strap, with the adjustable keeper.

If you haven't tried them I highly recommend the CWC own ones, better than modern day phoenix IMO and I personally consider them the best NATO straps out there.

Thank you all. I remember seeing a side-by-side comparison of all the 'Admiralty Grey'-type straps, ranked on quality, feel, thickness, shade, etc. Many aspects are purely subjective of course, but very helpful to be able to pick out aspects you like and don't. Nevertheless, a bit of a rabbit hole methinks, in to which i am prone to falling.

Meanwhile, does anyone recognize this shade? It is neither Phoenix nor CWC (as far as i can tell), and as hints of blue and green mixed in with the grey... and looks smashing on this lovely '53.

They are good value. Where do you think all of these new watch strap companies are getting them from ;). For a comparison, the gray one here is from cousins and the black one is a MK1 Bark and Jack strap. I should note that the newer B&J straps do have different hardware and adjustable keepers. All that said, I'll let you decide if that is worth an extra £20. Also I've put a Hamilton buckle on the gray one, but have included a picture of the one that was supplied with it.

I think i bought something from Cousins before (which was also very well-priced) and actually found them quite tricky to deal with. Has anyone else found this?

Do you mean Cousins themselves or the straps? Cousins are really a B2B wholesaler and as such don't really cater towards retail customers. For example I believe they wont offer refunds under certain circumstances. Personally, I've never had an issue with them.

I've ordered plenty of times from Cousins. No issues.

Cousins give a great, super quick postal service.
