The second one is a seamaster that is priced very attractively @ $500 CAD
It is priced this way because it has a broken crystal and the new buyer is to cover the replacement.

So, my question is, is this sea master worth buying and replacing?
The reference is : 166.002 with CAL 565
And i do apologize for the photos. the ones in their ad are not great.

Any help is appreciated, and if none at all. Thats ok too !

    Thank you all

Ask the dealer to take good photos of the inside caseback (where you’ll find the reference number) and of the movement, so that the experts here can help you best. If it’s possible to get better pics of the dial and case, so much the better! I don’t think the price of a new crystal will be extortionate, but condition of the movement and what’s under the hood will be important in determining whether or not this is a good deal.

A new crystal for this ref probably costs between 10$ for a generic replacement to 60$ for a genuine Omega crystal.
+ Labour of the Watchmaker involved

    Thank you.
Am i wrong to think that $60 seems fine for something genuine ?

Assuming that the caseback reference and movement check out correctly, and it is running and keeping time, $500 ($C) is not bad. You could afford the crystal and service and still be okay, but less of a bargain.

There are some distinctly superior Omega sellers in Canada that you should look at before you decide which Omega to buy.

The photos aren't very good, but the watch looks decent overall. I see some spots on the dial, but I really can't get a good sense of the overall dial condition, which is important. I think I'm seeing some dial damage between the 8 and 9 o'clock applied markers. Unless it's some debris sitting on the dial. Don't concern yourself about the crystal, it's a very minor issue.

It's not so much money, I find it worth it on most pieces. It doesn't mean the Watch Brands aren't having nice margins on crystals.
Crystals are often the easiest part to change on a Watch that will have a big influence on its appearance.
