Seamaster with Geneve face?

I`m looking at a Ref 166.002 565 but it has a Geneve face in a Seamaster case.
I have been told that the watch is ok as there were three different faces
Seamaster
Seamaster & Geneve
Geneve

Can anyone help please?

But in general, you can see 166.002’s with Geneve dials that are perfectly legitimate

Yes. All the three versions you listed can be found with this reference.
