Hello OF,
Im interested in this black dial Seamaster as a daily Beater for work (high air moisture). Is the dial legit or repainted in Black?
Would appreciate your thoughts!
Thanks all! 馃榾

Is there no automatic rotor? If not, I think it would work as a manual wind watch just fine, but pay accordingly. Also, don't expect it to be waterproof without having a watchmaker test it to verify. (By the way, the dial looks okay to me, but my eye is not well trained)

To my eye, the dial looks original with a fair reasonable patina. Cheers

I was thinking how much I would like a black dial, then I realized my first and second favorite watches (the speedmaster and chronostop) have black dials.

The dial itself looks original to me. Did the hands lose their lume? If not the dial maybe have been relumed as the hands have aged to a much darker shade than lume plots which does happen naturally sometimes but they look awfully white in that one photo.

I agree, the lume plots put me off.

That lettering looks soft to me but that could be whatever the heck is eating that dial.
