Hi all,

New here and looking for a 50s steel-case 34.5mm center-sweep Omega Seamaster with a "two-tone" (better name for this, I wonder?) white dial (something like pic below). I've tried to narrow this type down to refs (2577, 2759...2964) and I'm sure there's more than I found, but I'm curious if seeing one example of a ref with this design means all watches with said ref are the same? Also, is it correct that this " two-tone" design faded out in late-50s, early-60s?

2577-5 in much poorer condition, barely-discernible difference between the two tones, but still gets some love from me .

Each of these references have many, many different dial variants. Two tone was definitely popular in the 50s, less so in the 60s.

Difficult to show the two tone effect - sometimes the centre looks darker, other times the outer ring looks darker

Ref 2846, slightly smaller at 34mm I believe? Can’t remember the exact size.

I like it. Did you notice that your example is a no lume version. This is a plus in my book: slightly cleaner look and no worries about radium.

That's a fair point. Never thought about no-lume looking cleaner but makes sense.

I think it was @dsio who said in a recent post about tritium lume that it no longer glows and only has the potential to crumble and cause troubles. For me a dressier watch like this is better off without lume.
