Gents, my dad gifted me his old gold seamaster, I always admired it and he knew I liked it so thought I should have it now and not after he's long gone.
I just need to know what cal it is and how much would a service cost, It runs well at about +5 per day, it's obviously got battle scars and the back is engraved with his initials but I think apart from a new crystal I would keep it original. I don't have the box or papers yet so don't know the serial. The bracelet is a 1069 20 microns GP, I think it's 19mm lug width.
Here's some basic shots with one to compare size to an SMPc any help would be appreciated.

The non-chronometer versions of these , like yours (and mine) have a cal. 752 inside. Service costs vary a bit but some where in the range of ~ $200ish (at independant watchmaker). If your watch hasn't been serviced in a while (more than 7 yrs or so) it is in need of one now, especially if you plan on wearing it regularly!

Thanks for the info, I really do like it so I'll do just that.
