Hi everyone. I was wondering if the lack of the "Swiss made" under the 6 is normal in this model. I'm asking you if, in your opinion, it's all authentic or redialed. Thanks in advance.
P.s. the red marks on the photos only hide the site from which the photos are taken.
What would be a reasonable price for this Watch?
Also I noticed that some Seamaster of the same age have different font for the "S", like the two ones that I post below. The small S is an indicator of a redial or there were two types of fonts?
Dial looks fine as Padders indicated. Omega used 2 different fonts.
Second hand looks like a replacement.
Welcome to the forum.
There’s plenty of ressources you can search for on the forum on this subject, the information is available for free— even to people seeking expert answers without saying “hello”, “please” or “thank you”. I can’t vouch for the watch but it looks pretty.
Sorry, i didn't want to seem rude. Also English is not my language, so I have to translate everything and trying to make it clear without mistakes.
Thank you, it's all clear. What would be a reasonable price for buying it in your opinion? I'm kinda newbie and always learning. Thanks in advance.
Good morning (for my time zone )
Thanks you all for the answers.
Any other informations from the watch dealer:
- it isn't redialed;
- it has been serviced just few weeks ago;
- the crown is original;
- only the bracelet is aftermarket.
They're asking for 600€. I think it's a reasonable price, for the conditions... what do you think about that? Other photos below.
I looked on eBay through the serial number and model but I found only (IMO) overpriced ones that go for about 1000-1800€.
On Chrono24 same story if not worst with a base of 1500€ and more, going to 2500€.
I'm asking for an expert point of view because I'm really a newbie in this marvellous watch world and I didn't wanna make mistakes for one of my first purchases. I love the vintage look of this particular model and age and this is my budget, around 500€.
Thanks in advance for your time, I know I asked a lot of questions, I appreciate your help very much.
The crown seems like a replacement to me, but let's hear more expert opinions.. as per the service, I would ask for a clear picture of the movement so that you can both check the serial and the condition of the components.
My take is that 600€ will be a tad too expensive without original crown and hand.
Have you seen any pictures of the movement?
Forget about the strap, from pictures, it doesn't seem a good quality one anyway. So it shouldn't influence pricing.
As per the service, if they can provide paper and waranty for it, then it impacts the price. Otherwise, it's only "words".
Note, some respected and respectful members of this wonderful community do sell watches here on the private watch sales.
I'd encourage you to search and browse current and past offers to better assess prices. And I wouldn't be surprised if you find your dream watch here as well 😀
Good luck
The crown is definitely not original.
Here's a photo in which is more visible, if it helps with the evaluation
