Seamaster Pro Authenticity Check

Just bought a Seamaster Pro 2531.80 from Ebay. I'm a novice when it comes to newer Omega watches– would anyone be able to confirm that this is authentic?

It has a replacement bezel and bracelet, but comes with the originals.

Any other observations would also be helpful. Thanks in advance!

The funny thing is that the bezel insert and bracelet are the easiest giveaways for fakes. Its probably legit, but its also an easy thing to pop the back to see if there's an 1109 or 1120 movement running things

Apparently the bezel had simply become worn, but the original bracelet started having issues. Both of the originals are included, however.

    Do these look correct?

I wouldnt honestly be able to tell for sure, but they look ok to me and the fact they are included and theres full disclosure is encouraging.

I would set the original bezel back though. Add character and authenticity.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I'll probably check out the movement just to be sure, but it's encouraging to hear that, ostensibly, there are no authenticity issues.

Not so sure I would say that. Omega does not sell inserts separately, so my guess is the insert is aftermarket, and the packaging on the bracelet does not look like the standard Omega packaging...can you PM me the full serial number, and I'll check it on the Extranet...

The listing says that both the bezel and bracelet are aftermarket/non-OEM. My guess is that the seller replaced the original bracelet with the aftermarket one, and then put the original in the packaging that belonged on the aftermarket bracelet.

I appreciate your offer, and I'll absolutely PM you the full serial # when it arrives. Thanks!

Your case back does not have a copyright globe. But I'm not sure when Omega started making that specific stamp.

The "copyright globe" is really the "Anti Costco globe", has nothing to do with authenticity. Omega attempted to use the globe logo (present in some watches sold outside the USA) to prevent watches from being imported and resold in the USA. Omega lost:

All the globe logo actually means is that the watch was first sold outside the USA

Yeah, was going to point this out too. Kind of looks silly, especially compared to the original bezel.

Gotcha, I'll be sure to swap the bezels once I get it. Is it difficult to do so without any tools/experience?
