Does anyone know whether the new rubber strap will fit on the older 2500D watches? Thanks.

I’ve heard it will not fit, because the holes on the new smpc are closer to the watch then the older one, which has the holes towards the end of the lugs.

I just purchased some from zealande, and will have them middle of the week. Check them out on Instagram or the interwebz.

My local boutique tried to put the new rubber strap on a SMPc they had in stock - at my request - and the lugs didn't align or it sat too high - can't remember which. Either way, it didn't fit right. I also asked them to try the Aqua Terra rubber strap on the SMPc - and it didn't fit right either.

I've tried my AT rubber strap on my SMPc too and the lugs don't align and even if they did, it would sit too high. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a great rubber strap option for an older (41mm) SMP. Wish Omega would make one for the older SMPs like the new one.

Thanks for the response—I had a suspicion that would be the case.

I have the double ridged blue one for my SMP. Wonder if that would fit the SMPc?

I'm pretty sure it fits the SMPc (same size case, etc.). Unfortunately, they are hard to find and pretty expensive when you do find one.

I ordered zealande straps. They look very nice. Hope the quality is as nice as they look.

I also bought this strap for my SMP Quartz. I like it and the price was right. I would rather find an Omega solution but this will do in a pinch. I've experimented with various non-Omega straps - and many are very nice.

On a side note, I've found a great compromise between the bracelet and a rubber strap - bought a blue Omega cordura strap (CWZ005345) on this forum and I really like it.

That fits really well! Is that a PO strap?
