Seamaster pre-Deville

Dear OF Members,

I just bought this Seamaster at an auction. I believe it can be called "pre-Deville" and it is solid gold (there is a mark on a lug).
I think it was probably made around 1960. It will be serviced soon and will have a chance to get the caliber reference.
The "waterproof " marking is still visible at the back but not on the picture.
I'd like to replace the strap and find an Omega brand buckle. What should the buckle width and style to stay within its historical period?
In advance thanks for your help and any remarks, advice or information.

Emmanuel

Dear OF Members,
Do you think dial and hands are originals on this watch?

Yes I would say so although the hands have lost their lume.

I have questions regarding lume. Should I consider reluming the hands? The empty hands don't bother me too much, but I'm wondering if reluming would add value.
Is there normally lume on the dial (at 12 for exemple)?

Thanks

I suspect that if you get a closer look, you will see that there is lume at the outer tip of the applied hour markers. If you get the hands re-lumed, make sure the person who does can match the color to the lume on the dial. Why are you concerned about adding value? Do you plan to sell it?

I had a closer look , I don't see any lume left but the outer tip of the markers have "a stair" so I can imagine that lume was apply there. Thyanks fot the tips.
I don't plan to sell , i just got it and I like it. I just don't want to damage it

A UV blacklight is very good for this type of inspection.
