    Hi
Does anyone of you know if there was a seamaster ploprof produced in the 1970's under the number 166077 but with a dial showing 1 000m (instead 600m normally).
Ia m about to purchase this watch but wondering how this is possible.
Thanks a lot for your help.

I wouldn´t purchase the watch until you have first posted some pictures here and received some more replies, although I am pretty sure that won´t be correct dial for this case ref. It is probable that the original dial has been swapped out.

The contrary would be more logical: when they developped a new case, they might have fitted it on some prototypes with the old 600m dials, then they produced the 1000 dial.
I would not see how/whx the Ploprof would gain 400m without any change.
But this is just a guess.

Agreed with @kpaxsg. Your Ploprof is almost certainly fitted with an incorrect 166.0093 ('Seamaster 1000') dial, either replacement or original (tritium). Alternatively, it may even be a Seamaster 1000 that is incorrectly advertised as a Ploprof. I've seen it happen before. Pictures will help decide the matter!
