Just secured my pre-order for this book. Looking forward to Oct when they ship. I've always wanted one of these watches but, never felt informed enough to acquire one with all the fakes out there. Maybe after going through this book I can begin to feel more confident in finding a good one.

This is exciting. I have Moonwatch Only, but on the pretence of buying a vintage Speedy one day. I am looking forward to this coming out and reading about its content from people on here before potentially buying it. I've never been as excited about the Seamasters compared to Speedmasters, but maybe it will help sway me? Let's see!

* SPOILER ALERT !? *

Gents, I asure you it'll be worth the wait 😉

The format is 1:1 with the Moonwatch Only book(s) - which is exactly what I'd hoped for.

There are waay too many Seamaster models to cover in any one body of work, so they decided to limit the book to:

SM300 1957-1970
SM300 Military
SM 120
SM "Diver" 300M
Ploprof 600 / 1000

Along with the above core vintage models, they dedicate a page to many various 90s & 2000s 300M/600M models, Planet Ocean, Ploprof 1200M, the 300 heritage models & even the Ultra Deep is included.

Just like the Moonwatch-Only book, they also include [many] LEs of the 300M/600M.

The book starts with the history of the Seamaster & ends with useful tables such as SN range, etc. - again, like the Moonwatch-Only book.

Bottom line, I'm very pleased and satisfied with the book, as I'm sure you will be too! 😀

Indeed, a huge work, from the beginning clear it was only going to be about the toolwatch versions
Anyway, other (Omega) books in the pipeline and again I'm disappointed not even a small appendix page allowed which lists all important users of the specific watches, even when Omega did a huge effort to offer certain "personalities" such a watch... 🥱

EDIT
The intro / history section has some coverage of important milestones such as the Janus II project, but admittingly, not as extensive as Moonwatch Only.

~~~
A good point - the MoonWatch Only book(s) offer more content on the Speedmaster's involvement with NASA's earlier missions
