I'm interested in this watch - 1960s? 1965? - but don't know if I should go ahead with it since it doesn't say "Seamaster" on the dial.

Can anyone provide me with some information on this watch? I'm just getting into collecting watches and don't want to get bamboozled or spend too much for something not worth my while.

    PASS

Horribly refinished dial and a very worn and polished case.

+2 Unless it is dirt cheap. Better put your money into something with nicer dial.

A swiss case like that one should be 19 g of gold. So if you can calculate well ....

Its only a gold-filled case clearly showing wear-through.
