First thread here on my recently purchased Great White. Thinking of putting a rubber or leather strap on it and wondering if anyone has done this and would have some ideas.

Many thanks,
Stephen.

Nothing wrong with a colorful NATO!
Generally not a fan of Nato straps but that Red and White looks great!

I seem to like grey so far, my top choices so far(both from Aevig)....

I have another NATO on the way which is grey with red stripe. I'm guessing a Hirsch Robby with red stitch would look great, also would like to see the Speedmaster Aston Martin strap(similar to the Snoopy strap but I prefer the more rounded ends) fitted.

Congrats on the Great White BTW, I'm still in the honeymoon period of purchasing mine. Oh and welcome to the forum👍

Just looked up that Hirsch Robby, that is definitely going on the list. Cheers

Im terms of rubber the original rubber strap (on an Omega wide range adjustable deployant clasp) would always be my first choice. here pictured from the original catalogue

But these are pretty rare and expensive out in the wild (and discontinued by Omega imho).

As an alternative to me I found the X33 Kevlar strap (even bulletproof as supposed to be 😁) . Really good quality and matches the red tip of the second- and the GMT-hand entirely. here on a black dialed GMT

this is the shorter version of it (Japanese market) and is going to fit 7,25 inch (~17,5 cm) wrists max. If you need more, then order it as 98000071L which adds 2cm to the strap.

Cheers,

Winny

I really like this model. Just looking at the white dial, the wave texture, and the GMT hand makes me feel like I'm on vacation. That said, I think the SS bracelet makes the watch look too monochromatic. A colorful nato or rubber strap, on the other hand, looks fantastic.

Wish I could see one on an Omega shark mesh, that's a combo I've been really curious about.

Not the best photo but during my brief time owning one (48 hours) I tried it on a Barton bands rubber strap.

A nice watch indeed, and one of my favorite white-dial diver's watch 👍 I'd keep it in its original, OEM bracelet 😉

Christmas came early(was supposed to be my pressie from the missus). Finally I get to see the Great White on Omega mesh, just had to wait to make the combo myself.

I absolutely love this bracelet, comfort is next level and my fears of the watch head swinging around with this type of bracelet were unfounded, actually it sits perfect as it kind of holds an even curve shape by itself so the watch head holds central to your wrist.

They're certainly short, fit my 6.75" wrist perfectly straight from the package(moved to the centre hole on the micro adjust), I guess 7" would be the absolute max before you'd need extension sections added.

I reversed mine to the less blingy side and have dulled it down slightly with a buff stick, might give it a little extra(must get some garyflex blocks) but it's pretty good now.

Worth the money over the cheaper alternatives? I can't say as I haven't owned a cheapy but I think it's excellent quality and reasonable given the crazy prices the likes of Breitling etc. charge.
