This is my first post on this forum.
I need to replace the scratched and damaged crystal on my Omega Seamaster Genève, reference 135.011, dating from 1967-1968 according to the serial number on its caliber. This model is a transitional version, with "Genève" printed on the dial and "Seamaster" engraved on the case back.
The crystal is an original Omega part, featuring the Omega logo in the center. It is quite thin, with an overall height of approximately 3 mm from top to bottom, which gives the watch a rather slim profile.I am looking for the exact same Omega crystal, ideally a NOS replacement.
The challenge is that the only replacement references I have found are PZ5005 and PX5005. These crystals are approximately 4.6 mm high. While their diameter fits the case perfectly and are therefore technically compatible, the visual result is not satisfactory. At 4.6 mm, the crystal sits much too high and appears to "pop out" of the case once installed, leaving a vertical wall of nearly 2 mm around the edge. This significantly alters the watch's appearance and takes away much of its original elegance and slimness.
Does anyone have any advice on how to identify and source the exact reference of the original crystal?
