Seamaster Full Model Number, please

I bought this Seamaster new in Spring 1963 and it has served/is serving me well. I understand it is a model CD14770, but from what I read on the Forum that is a generic number which applies to several variations over the production period, each with additional figures/numbers to the base model number. Can anyone supply the missing information, please?
The movement number is 19392850.

I don't believe there is anything more specific than the case reference 14770 and the material CD (gold capped). There would have been multiple dial and hand variations, but those did not have identifying numbers.

Indeed CD14770 is the complete reference, nice enough daily wear piece that I'm sure looks very nice on the wrist.

Sathomasga,
Thank you for your information.
My post was prompted by one I saw somewhere on the Forum yesterday which, I was surprised to see, did actually mention a CD14770 with addition numbers before and after the watch reference number. Unfortunately I am unable to find it again, but I am happy to leave it there.

There may be a two-digit year engraved on the inside of the caseback. So, for example 14770-62, which would indicate that the case was manufactured in 1962.

Referring to the chart you pointed me to I do not appear to have a model CD 14770!
My watch:
Gold capped - CD
Gents - 1
Self winding, centre second - 6
Water resistant, calendar - 6
My model number must be CD166??

That is very interesting. The CD14770 number I took from an early service invoice. After 60 years of ownership I now find myself not knowing what my model number is!

You are confusing case number formats. the XXX.YYY(Y) format (known as MAPICS) you refer to above came later than your watch, yours is in the 5 digit scheme which ran from roughly 1959 to 1963 or so. Prior to that 4 digit numbers were in use, though there was some overlap with the 5 digit scheme. I think the link you are talking about was posted because it explains the 2 letter case metal codes ie the CD. In a strange example of happenstance, I just noticed that I am mentioned in that very post!

You do have model CD 14770 and that is that!

unless I open the case. Something I will leave to others. But thank you for leading me to this discovery

Your watch is a CD 14770. Sometimes there is a production run indicated the reference number, but there would be no way to know without looking. And it really has little practical importance.
