Hi all,

currently shopping for my first ever vintage omega. After looking for a considerable amount of time I found this advertisement on chrono:

- Vintage Omega Seamaster De Ville Manual Wind 135.010 - 33,5mm - 1968

Year of production: 1968

Serial number: 27.811.626

Model number: 135.010

Movement: 601

The thing that confuses me is the size of the hands. In all pictures & research I found from this serial number they seem to be different, bigger most of the time.

Can you give me any information and help me on whether this is a good buy for around the 1k€ mark?

Thanks a lot!

Simple indexes with simple hands. Variety of dials and hands.

Value. Maybe half. Simple dial and hands and manual wind movement

Not high on the collector value chart. 601 is a nice movement, but it’s not a bumper, 30 mm or automatic full rotor

Just my opinion

Some good points about this piece are the sharp case (you can spot the small chamfers on the lugs) and the sunburst dial which appears to be in great condition.

Advice from a noobie like myself is to look under the private sales on the forum. You can often find great condition watches from reputable sellers at very decent prices with peace of mind.
