Dan Chronometre AFAIK wasn’t spelled the French way in the 60s so that can’t be so to my mind. The dial at least and most probably the entire watch are 1950s.

Looks like a chronometer version of the 2846. Not sure if that had a different ref. Probably but it’s no later than 1959 IMO

If you own a boat, save yourself a lot of agro..just stand in a shower and tear up £20 notes!
