Yes it is the original bracelet... I messaged the seller - it is exactly the style I have been looking for at a price I can afford. Hoping it is still available!

Daym. Missed out - already sold

 

It is a second generation cosmic. They are quite common and pop up for sale regularly so you won't have to wait long for another chance. If it were me I would look for an earlier version which does not have the 2000 on the dial. But it is a nice watch all the same especially with the bracelet.

fwiw: there was a time when nobody cared for daytonas ;o)

One issue with certain cosmic 2000s is that a special tool is needed to open the caseback. Not all watchmakers can open it

 

Any thoughts on this? Thinking of taking a punt

What tool does it require? I'm interested in learning how to re-furbish watches too (though I just bought an old Seiko to practice on - don't think I'd use an Omega as a guinea pig)...

 

I like this Chronostop too, though not a fan of the orange handle

That is in poor condition and has the wrong second hand on it. The driver version is more collectable. mY avatar is a driver Chronostop with original strap. They wear quite small, only 35 mm but its a nice watch. The cosmic is a better deal but maybe needs a bit of tlc.
