·Ooh nice! Cal 565? It’s got the original crystal too. Enjoy, it’s a great looking watch!
C CuperMy grandfathers cosmic from what I remember was a retirement gift and now handed down to me. Recently handed in for service with a broken foot which rotated the dial and a scratch on the crystal. Now feels brand new and given new life. The manual winding sounds and feels much more crisp. REF 166026-TOOL-107. Liking the black dials with cross hairs and would love owning one for the contrast and a beautiful set with my goldie.
References for the classic C-cased Cosmic are as follows:
135.017 – Cal. 601, manual winding
136.017 – Cal. 611 / 613, manual winding, date
165.026 – Cal. 552, automatic
166.023 – Cal. 562 / 565, automatic, date
166.036 – Cal. 752, automatic, day-date
Note: Omega also produced other Cosmic models but they are ugly compared to the references listed above.
As an owner of a 135.016 (Cal. 601 from 1966) I'm wondering if you just overlooked the reference here in your list or if you just consider it one of the 'ugly ducklings'?
These are 33mm watches right? Looking at pics it seems this reference has factory polished case instead of sunray brushing. Maybe I should update the reference list, 135.016 certainly has the 'Cosmic-look'.

I have just bought this one. Has it been polished way too much? The engraving from the backplate is gone for good I think. I hope it wasn’t a waste of money. I paid like €400 plus €70 for shipping. I think I still love this watch when it arrives.
