Hi guys, thanks for having me for my first post 😀

Today while going through a bulk lot of watches I purchased I came across this Seamaster Ref 136017, unfortunately it’s not running and since the case and dial are in such bad condition I would like to fix it myself. I’m still fairly new to the hobby so I just had a couple of questions.

Firstly I am going to need to get a replacement crystal and I first wanted to know how to know exactly which crystal it is that I need, and whether or not it’s worth trying to track down a genuine omega crystal.

Second I will need to try and track down some spare parts, most obviously the crown and probable stem. Since I’m new to the hobby I was just hoping for recommendations for the best online spare parts suppliers for vintage watches.

Thanks a lot in advance for any advice, I really look forward to bringing this rough but charming watch back to life 🤞🤞

That is some serious pitting. Anyway, the crystal you need is Omega part 063PX5123. That part number does not have the magnifier built in like your crystal does, but if you want that the part number with magnifier is 063PX5123L.

The crown part number is 069SX42527.

Since this is a front loading case, it uses a split stem, so the crown portion of the split stem that you will need is 081ST9992.

The Cal. 610 is a nice movement to work on for a person relatively new to watchmaking.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much Archer, this info is really helpful 😀 I’m really excited to get into it I’m just waiting on the tool to pull the acrylic and then I’ll be right into it

Yes, it is. In fact the 9993 was discontinued not long ago and the 9992 is the replacement part number.
