Hi,
I'm looking at this 1968 Seamaster Cosmic 135.016 for sale by a private seller on Chrono 24.
Seller claims the watch is fully original, never serviced.

Based on the pictures, does it look authentic and original ? The face seems very clean for an untouched 55+ years old watch, is there anything indicating it could be a re dial ?
Is there anything in particular I should worry about before eventually buying it ?

Thanks !

Have you seen and reviewed this thread? A must for a Cosmic buyer. There is a small size that is not always disclosed by sellers- make sure you know what size it is.

Thanks for the thread, I'll take a look at it.
This is indeed the smaller 33mm case, I have a small wrist so this wouldn't be a problem for me.

Have you tried on a 33 mm watch? It is very small most find it too small- they should be priced lower as a result just be aware.

The back of the watch case looks well worn but every other angle looks factory fresh. I'd regard that as kind of suspicious.

Greetings!
Check out the case - it should have brushing.
And the caseback would have som sharp edges also, and some text under "waterproof"

That is - if you want a fine one...?
😀

Thanks. The one I'm looking at is the 135.016, so the case is polished, not brushed. Here are some additional pictures the seller sent me

I believe it should still have a brushed top

Just a quick tip. You might consider using the crop function in your photo app.

Watch looks good and original. Correct polished top for this 33mm 135.016 reference. At 685€ it is a little bit expensive for a petite case variant, but if you really like it - buy it.
