Hi all,

a quick question to the Seamaster-Chrono experts:

I wondered wether the Seamaster Chrono 145.006 cases for the cal 321 are exactly the same as for the cal 861. Or: is it possible to swap a 321 into a 861 and viceversa?

Best,

caselock

The cal 861 and the 321 do have the same diameter (27mm). The 321 is slightly thinner 6,74mm (861 = 6,87mm) which shouldn't be a problem.

As far as I know the case of the 145.006 (cal 321) and the 145.016 (cal 861) is completly the same.

Not an expert, but from what I know if they both have their correct movement rings, they should both fit into the case properly.

Stem height may be different, but I've not heard any comments either way on that.

I remember that @Archer once told me the cases have different Omega internal product code.

I would expect the cases to be the same but different movement ring. So if the movement comes with correct ring you probably can swap. But that is just an uneducated guess.

They are not the same. They use different crystals, different enlargement rings (case rings), different pushers, different case tube, different case clamps...
