Nice looking watch, I've just bought one very similar but with a 552 movement and 14765 3 sc case. (14k gold bezel) Paid $600 for it.
I'm new to the forum so please excuse me if I've posted in the wrong thread, I have been looking everywhere for a watch similar to mine ;) here's a picture if your interested.

I've moved it to a separate thread under vintage mate, all good. Is this your first good watch or do you have some others in your collection?

I bought an Omega geneve automatic two weeks before I got this one, it's becoming very addictive this watch collecting ;)
Here are both of them together.

Yes these are my first good watches... And hopefully there will be many more.
I was searching for a SeaMaster with the coat hanger S and wanted some gold as well as the stainless steel back, so I think I did well in finding it.

    Hi,
I picked up a very similar, if not the same, watch yesterday! Don't know too much about it either. Being a self identified watch geek, this is my first Omega watch. The rest of my collection is the "American", and less expensive stuff.
Found this one at my local, mtrusted, watch repair shop. Went in Friday to get a Hamilton fixed and he showed me this one. All day it was all I could think about, texting him that evening, and bought it Saturday.

It appears to have an original, signed crystal, and crown and the guys told me its for 1961 and has a 552 movement.

Thanks for posting pics of yours, it's kind of comforting as there don't seem to be many with this face that I have found - making it less likely I purchased a "frankenwatch"

    Regards,
    JM
