Hi all,
Once again I come to you for knowing from your experience, what are your thoughts.
My thoughts the case/dial looks too clean or I might be seeing it wrong?
Also about the movement, from your eyes looks ok?
The guy is asking 500€.

Hi gents...

There are some (wish there were more) ladies and other folks here who should be part of the conversation. I don’t believe that you intended to exclude anyone with the very common “gents” opening, but today feels like a very good day to practice being inclusive.

Okay, back to watches...

Hi Cooper,

I believe everything looks ok, even though the resolution and sharpness of these pictures are not that great. To be 100% sure maybe better pics would be in order.

A small detail: if I am not mistaken the crown should look like this:

It is only slightly different if you are looking for something 100% original but I for once would not mind the crown, I don't think it particularly breaks the design of the watch.

But I don't think the price is far off. Just bear in mind the costs of a revision if the seller or dealer does not prove the watch has been serviced.

But the case and the dial look great to me! Very sharp with a few scratches on the back. I would wear that one too.

Edit: on a second thought, the crown does look like the one I posted... Maybe slightly "flatter"

Much better pics!

I think the dial looks really great and definetely original. Sharp and honest case too. 👍

Too bad that the back is so scratched!

Generally speaking the service of a manual winding non automatic watch should be around 150€ where I am located (Germany).

In my opinion, it is indeed a fair price but you are the one who has to be into the watch. 😉

This looks like a nice piece. If it winds and keeps relatively good time, your service will likely be relatively simple. The dial looks good, as does the buckle.

284/285/286 are interchangeable. said my friend technician. i had have a 284 seamaster and due to some minor malfunction of the caliber, he replaced with a neat 286 to my surprise. the manualwind of this calibers are very excellent.😁👍
