Seamaster 300m Not holding Charge?

I have Seamaster 300m
Purchased August 2021

Even after wearing for a whole week and fully charging the watch it loses the charge with 36 hours. Is this acceptable?

I also have a (much cheaper) Seiko Kinetic and this holds a full charge for weeks after being fully charged.

Does anyone feel this is a problem?
Should I return the watch to Omega for them to check it out?

Thanks in advance for any help

What exactly do you mean by fully charging? Wearing or winding? The stated reserve for the 8800 is 55 hours so yes if the watch is stopping at 36 hours after full wind then yes it needs work. Under warranty since it is within the 5 years.

Seiko kinetic is a totally different kettle of fish and is basically a quartz watch with a built in generator. You can't really compare that with any truly mechanical movement.

I would like to know the answer too.

@Jamesb7030, have you wound the watch via the crown for at least 50 to 60 turns so that the mainspring is fully wound and actually slipping in the barrel?
If not, do that.
When done, let it rest until it stops and note the elapsed time, if it's less than 55 hours it may need intervention under warranty.

I think it is pretty obvious what the OP means:

I have tried it as well on my Sub and it doesn’t hold the charge either

I am guessing that you are using a non-proprietary Submariner to Lightning Adapter? You need to get the Official Rolex one, you won’t get it from an AD they rarely have stock, best try to pick an as new from Chrono 24 or similar but be prepared to pay well over RRP.

I’m thinking it may just need a fresh battery🤔

I noticed the other day that my 3 automatics had stopped including my seamaster. The watch winder wasn't working. I wound them manually and fiddled with the switch and plug and it seems to be working now. Too many watches and not enough wrists to wear them all the time.
