The crown is definitely a screw in type.

So something is not right, i will check it again when i go back.

Just to verify are we talking about the crown, or the pushers? The pushers are NOT screw down, the crown is.

If you're using Photobucket, copy the code in the last box (IMG code) under the picture and paste it into your post.

The 7750 based Cal 1164 movement is capable of exceptional accuracy, especially since the movement is already chronometer grade, BEFORE Omega takes the movement and replaces parts to upgrade its performance even further. You notice that because of the extra heavy rotor that Omega fit to it, when you flick it certain directions you get a distinct wobble of the rotor spinning that shakes your wrist. The winding efficiency of these things is absolutely exceptional.

OK so if I am understanding, this is a standard movement not made by Omega?

Correct - it's a Valjoux 7750 with a little customization order by Omega. It's a solid & dependable movement though - nothing to sneeze at. 👍

I still love the watch but I still feel kinda duped when the website says it has an Omega movement.

I suppose it's similar to how (even some high-end) car manufacturers start with a base engine, then add their own improvements/tweaks.

Looking at the official Omega site, you would sort of assume it was an in-house movement since they've put their name to it: "Omega 1164".

That's the way the watch industry is. Don't feel bad though - we've all been there. Besides, you could do a LOT worse than a 7750 or any ETA-made movement for that matter. Hublot Big Bangs cost triple what your Omega sold for and still use ETA/Valjoux movements. They only just developed their own in-house movements and they charge thousands more for them on top of their outrageous prices.
