Rubberized
Love the bracelet but I am still toying with getting the rubber strap for mine. You clearly have both, so I wondered how you like them in comparison to each other?

HI, I much prefer the bracelet, the rubber strap is fine for comfort and maybe looks, but to me it degrades the overall luxurious look and feel of the whole watch.

I am in two minds as I really love the bracelet, but also like the look of the rubber strap as it changes the look completely.

I have only had it 6 weeks and been in long sleeves since then. Just thinking towards the Summer where short sleeves will mean I risk scratching the clasp and/or my built in desk at home, as spent ages getting that lovely and smooth before building.

I guess both with stand up fine and I should just forget about it and wear it as is. Rubber strap would be a nice compromise nonetheless.

Although I have got my eye on either an Aquaracer, Superocean or Endurance Pro that would also resolve my anxiety…

The rubber strap is nice to have that way you can change the look and feel of the watch at your convenience. I recommend the Zealande rubber band, hi quality at better price than the OEM

I have been loving this thread and all the photos you’ve been posting Wilfred!!

I have the exact same timepiece and I too struggle between choosing the rubber or bracelet for the exact same reasons.

The bracelet is well made and to me is more luxurious and handsome but the rubber strap is so comfortable and I also enjoy the look

I feel as though I spent all this money I should enjoy the watch in its most expensive state (bracelet) but I know that’s my neurotic and practical financial mind at work.

Having said that.. I bought the zealande strap before ponying up for the oem omega strap and while the zealande is very high quality, the factory strap is a cut above. The overall aesthetic and details of the factory rubber plus the factory buckle clasp are superior to the zealande.

The way omega have added the lines and textures in the rubber to mimic the look of the bracelet, plus the waves on the underside, and the nipple keeper/ strap design that always keeps you locked in with a consistent amount of excess “tail” sticking out. The buckle on the factory rubber continues the look of the chamfering on the case lugs, and is really high quality.

One more thing I might add is that after a day with the zealande on my wrist, even if it wasn’t a day where my wrist felt like it got sweaty, my wrist would have an odor when I removed the watch. The first time I smelled that I was confused and figured maybe I had perspired more than I thought I did that day but when it happened over and over and then after acquiring the factory rubber strap and never having that happen, I know it has something to do with the material of the zealande.

When you hold both rubber straps in your hands you will easily be able to notice a difference in feel. Both are very nice but I think the factory rubber is better and perhaps what I would call a little more dense. The zealande seems to be a little more stretchy which also makes it very comfortable. You really can’t go wrong, both choices are fantastic

If one can afford to go for the now available factory deployant clasp and strap combo I think that would be even better, but at $500 that’s a considerable cost for a strap option. The factory tang buckle and strap combo should come in just north of $300 or so, and I believe I paid roughly 200 for the zealande after shipping costs.

For me to do it again, I would’ve bit the bullet and went straight to the factory option. I thought I’d save myself a few bucks by going aftermarket and really the zealande now sits in its box unused

Attached some of my personal favorite photos. I love this watch I think it’s beautiful and mine has been bomb proof. I’ve smacked it countless times on door frames and desktops etc, it’s accurate to +2 secs a day max and for the money i don’t think one can buy a better dive watch.

It’s subtle but the attention to detail to have the twisted lugs mirror in the clasp is pretty cool!
