Well, first, it's not a Big Triangle.

The hands are wasted, the dial is not particularly attractive, service crown and craked bezel. You say it's not even working sio complete service. Case looks fine. Do you have a picture of the caseback ?

Anyway, I would pass on this one at that price... Let's say, for me, it's a 3000 USD watch.

For me that's a watch that would be worth maybe $3500-$4000 if it was already serviced, with its hands re-lumed and with a new crystal fitted.

It will never be a show stopper with that banged up case and destroyed case back, IMO at best presentable and I personally would never even consider a 300 with cracked bezel unless the rest was in exceptional/excellent condition.

1966, Omega Seamaster 300, Ref: 165024. Condition is Pre-Owned. Worn well in its life. Obvious wear and tear. Watch runs for a little bit if I give it a little shake but then stops. Selling as is. Sent with Australia Post Standard Small Box/Satchel + signature.

The above is sooo Australian
Worn well. Works if I shake it, $6k in post box or a satchel (whatever is cheaper 👍)

I find the comments that the dial is not good quite strange - it looks in very good shape considering we are viewing it through a well worn crystal.

As for the comments on cracked bezel inserts this appears to have one crack at the 50 and you will be very very hard pushed to find examples of perfect inserts. Most will have damage but the hairline cracks are often difficult to spot.

The issues with hands and caseback are negatives.

The Ebay seller states that the watch runs if he shakes it and then it stops - welcome to automatic movements!

The price this sold for reflects the condition and the current market and is neither a steal nor a silly price - it isn't pretending to be something that it is not (bezel, dial, hands and movement number fit). With a clean and service, new lume on hands, caseback and crystal this starts to look like a good buy.

(....and no I was not the buyer and did not even see the listing)

Bumping and piggy backing on this thread for advice from the experts. I am trying to help out a friend with this watch, states it was bought new more than 50 years ago, recently serviced by Omega in the past few years, so I am fairly confident that it isn't a Watcho, but otherwise I have nothing. Friend is going to try and get me the paperwork from Omega, so hopefully that will shed some light. Looks like everything was replaced? Any input is appreciated.

If truly serviced by Omega and updated with service parts, it probably has a value similar to that of a WatchCo IMO. Just go by the paperwork.

Comparing with my WatchCo, the bezel might be original. Dial and hands seem to be service replacements.

Waiting on the paperwork, but thanks to all who commented. I figured that the service replacements would destroy the value, but since I am really not familiar with the model I wanted to ask first. Thanks again, I will followup when I have more to offer.

It's not worthless by any means. Instead of perhaps $6000 it might be $4000. The denizens can clarify.
