I took extra pictures of the watch. The movement serial number is 19.6m which is right for a 14755. The crown appears original. At certain angles I can see cracks on the bezel insert which is the same as in my CK2913. The owner said he only used the watch on special occasions.

My 14755-61s are in the 18xxxx range. My 165012-62 has an earlier movement, 193xxx, than this OP 14755-61. Not encouraging.

is the OP watch a 14755-62 ?? Hard to read the caseback??? That would explain a lot if it is.

🤦
i have this: 4 years and haven't found one bezel🙁

You have the bezel, you are missing the insert which has degraded away over time. I don´t think I´ve ever seen just an insert for sale. I´d just get it Aldo´d. To me they look a bit naked without it and it balances the look out a lot better.

Here´s my 19.6 million 14755 which went off to the US 6th Fleet in 1963, also with an Aldo.bezel.

If you trust him on the originality for all but the dial/hands then it seems reasonable money for the parts.

As previously discussed there were aftermarket inserts available as well..but they were not as good as what Aldo can do; but still an alternative

as @cristos71 pointed out, you have the original bezel

Those are worthless. They are aluminum, dont fit precisely and have a bad finish. They are also very difficult to install as they are actually too thick. Dont wast your money on these.

The only way to get a decent insert is to have it applied to your bezel.

Is the Aldo bezel made of bakelite material too?

I do have a nice original CK2913 bezel for sale - if I get my price...

Perhaps you can first get another 183 posts and sell the bezel within the OF rules.
Bezel might triple in value by the time you get there.
