@Archer where are you based? Would you take something like a service on?
I'm in Canada. I service these movements all the time, so you can PM me if you want. However please note that I am not taking any work from the US.

Yes, you remove the small screw and the rotor gib, and then the rotor lifts off.

I have a faulty 42062 crown which I recently pulled apart. The gasket is right at the bottom and difficult to see and I think it would be quite difficult to replace.

Its not a round oring, it stands about 0.5mm high and OD of about 3.3mm

You dont by chance still have that gasket? Im hoping you can measure as I’m hoping I can replace mines with one from cousins.

The gasket is approximately OD=3.30mm, ID=2.60mm, and thickness 0.50mm, its not a round oring

Nice build. I need a 165.024. Preferably a WatchCo. Anybody has one laying around? 😀

The seal is not sold separately. Crown part number is 069ST42062
Hey Archer do you know what the deal is with the 069ST42028 crown. Would this fit and is it a newer service piece or is it wrong for the watch?

Does the crown that I have, normally have a gasket on the tube aswell or is it only at the bottom of the crown? Going to try and order a few from cousins that may be the correct size going by pascs measurements. Had it pressure tested twice now and failed on both occasions. Replaced the caseback gasket with a thicker 1.2mm and I can feel the silicone grease sliding on the gasket so I’m sure the back is sealed. Annoyingly I’m positive it’s still the crown that’s the issue.

The only seal is inside the crown.

I’ve found these on Cousins. Going to order these and will let you know. @Archer any last suggestions? 😂 I have looked into the crown and could see the gasket has literally turned to cheese. I’ve used a sewing needle to pick the old out. Fingers crossed this works or new crown is the only other option

I`ve had the gasket exchanged by watchmaker in my original flat feel crown, so it can be dome and I think, there are two in parallel.
I remember only, that he had to remove the crown cover, exchange the seals and close it again somehow...

Looking a the diameters of gasket you have found, it could be it, as the outer diameter of the case tube is 2.5mm as per discussion I had with Archer lately:

So I have an update for everyone. I was able to successfully push the tube gasket from cousins onto the screw down crown and……. It passed a pressure test. For transparency I would always recommend taking to a watchmaker but this will make me feel a bit more comfortable for now. Part number I used from cousins uk in included below.
