good afternoon OF , I have been in conversation with the seller of this Seamaster 30 the seller assure me the dial 100% genuine , my hunch is that the hour markings have been re-lumed your help is always appreciated . Sellers photo attached
If they have been relumed, someone did a very neat job. Just a suggestion, but the different lume condition on hands and dial might be a normal aging effect due to different chemical composition of metal, underlying paint/lacquer, etc.
Those hands are really ugly! Lugs looks over polished, redail and I doubt thats an omega crown. Just leave and don't look back.
If you look carefully at the dial, I think you can see holes at 12, 3, 9 and flanking the Omega logo. If this is the case, this would likely be due to removal of markers/logo and then a refinish. The hands are also incorrect.
I certainly didn't see the holes on the dial at first thanks for that info. there was something in the back of my head that was saying this dial isn't rite . again thanks for all your help .....
There are plenty of Seamaster 30's floating around on eBay etc with this Ranchero style dial layout and (almost) all are redials. Tread carefully with them.
