    Hi guys,

I'm a new member on the forum (though have been lurking over the past year) and found this beautiful Seamaster 30 on Ebay. The seller has indicated that the watch is completely original (minus the strap).

What is your opinion on this watch - does it seem all original to you?

An ebay search for completed/sold listings should give a good idea of value.

Gold capped is pretty much the least desirable after stainless and solid gold.

Except this one is rose gold capped and capped is quite a bit more desirable than a gold plated or gold-filled case.

Don't know what the asking price is but this looks like a nice watch.

Any thoughts on the originality of this watch - does anything appear fake/out of place/refinished/repainted?

The lume dots look to be redone at some point.

Linen dial looks original to me.

Rest of the watch looks nice.

    All depends on price.

Dial looks very nice - though maybe relumed as Gatorcpa said. Everything looks good.

The case looks in fair condition. But, though 40 microns means a good quality plating, it is not a "capped" case but a "plated" one. It remains a nice watch.

    Thanks for all the input.

Anyone well versed with vintage Seamasters willing to give some input on what should be ballpark price for such a watch? Have I paid too much, too little, or about right?

Update on this watch. Before I could make a payment, I heard back from the seller notifying me that the watch now has an issue which is not mentioned in the listing and he recommended that I don't send the $.

Ended up purchasing a beautiful vintage Longines instead.
