Just got an old Seamaster 30 on my table. And it is just like I like to recieve them. Untouched by dealers, collectors and morons without proper tools to open it. Straight from a young girls "secondhand"/ "vintage"/"shabby chic" /"import of cheap products from China" shop. I has a heavily scratched crystal, replacement crown and way too long winding stem. There is a fair amount of gunk both between the lugs and on the back side of them, and the old "fixo-flex" is absolutely disgusting. But the dial is perfect and the case is sharp and unmolested. Will be a nice little project this
Wow! Another Fixoflex for your collection! I'm impressed . And the watch that came with it should clean up a treat, any movement shits?
Is true,I have quite a eclectic collection of old straps, bands and metal expansion bands. Should be a sub-forum for them Haven't opened it yet. It is running, a little fast it seems.....based on 3 hours of observation.
Cleaned up nicely I think and gave it bit of anti-magnetic treatment which turned down speed to normal pace. I think I like it
This is a beautiful SM30. Dial is fantastic! Do you mind if I ask what you did to de-magnetize the watch?
