This is a very nice black-dialed Seamaster with a manual-wind 284. All my non-chronograph Seamasters are automatic so it would be a nice addition. Given the rarity of original black dials, I thought I'd get a second, or third, opinion. I know the crown is wrong and I would use that in my price negotiation but, is there anything else that sends up a red flag? Is OMEGA correct? It almost looks too good.
I'm calling original. Lovely, even patina - looks great. ...But I'm bowing out if any of the "coathanger-S" geeks comes and starts talking about which font is used on which models
Odd that I didn't notice it last night but the OVD doesn't refer to this reference as a Seamaster. http://www.omegawatches.com/planet-...ache=1&cHash=8fce0eb275f1b86669b1338951901037 I have been able to find only one other example of a 2892 reference with a seamaster dial. Unfortunately, I have no shot of the reference number, to confirm.
I know the seller, and can recommend him! EDIT: Just saw the post and think the watch is sold. Never hurts to ask.
