I have owned this watch since about 2014. It has been used as a daily wearer and general beater although I have never used it in water. It has a wonderfully visible dial/hands when you are riding a sports bike! It has served me well, but I have not used it for the last 12 months or so. I have no wish to bore anyone with a hard-core sales pitch as there is lots of information available about this reference. It is however in my opinion a lovely reference that harkens back to the original Big Triangle model of the 1960’s with bomb proof reliability and easy serviceability. From what I gather they were only manufactured for a few years between 2001 and 2008.

Serial number – 81539969

Dial – Original condition big triangle with no defects visible to my eyes. Glows as it should when exposed to light.

Hands – Original condition and matching the markers on the dial with no visible defects to my eyes.

Bracelet – None. Sold as head only with spring bars.

Insert – With wear and marks as pictured but overall commensurate to the general patina of wear on the watch. There is a mark on the bezel at 15 which I have tried to picture. The bezel turns with no issues.

Case – There are marks and wear on the case as to be reasonably expected from a daily wearer. The case was not refinished when I had it serviced at STS. However, as I have not owned the watch since new it is not possible for me to comment on whether or not it has ever been polished in its life.

Movement – I have the watch serviced at STS in I think 2018. The watch winds as it should automatically and the date changes over as it should, resets manually without issue and there is no noise from the rotor that I would in my opinion consider excessive. However, I have timed it and it is losing time. This is therefore being sold are requiring a service. It may have been knocked when I was wearing it. I do have the service receipt for this somewhere and I will do my best to find it although I cannot guarantee this in time the sale of the watch.

Crown and tube - For some reason the winding crown can sometimes be a little difficult to catch on the threads. Perhaps it may have been cross threaded at some time since I had it serviced. I have had no issues with it or any moisture ingress and I have never used the watch in the wet or been swimming with it. I am therefore selling it on the basis of it needing a new crown and tube.

All the pictures are in natural light, and I have not applied any filters.

Thank you for looking.

Lots of love for this reference - not sure what the winding issue is with the crown and how much of an issue to fix, but the price seems very fair
