    hi all,

My local pawnshop has an auto version of the 200 in stock...368.1862 ref I believe...

It is in decent condition, no box or papers and no service history however.

    Two things I wondered...
1- price is £1500, which I think about twice it’s value, unless massively mistaken. I know there was one on the sales section here that was up for $900 but the example locally looks to be in better condition, that being said, UK and US prices differ with the US being somewhat cheaper. Based on this does £700/£750 sound good/bad?

2- is it possible to fit a strap to these? I like the late 80’s looking bracelet but just wondered.

Thanks and happy new year to all!

Yeh, thanks I see your point but just wondered if this was market price or the OF example was under or over priced... there aren’t many sold examples to get an idea...

Also unsure of the strap/bracelet possibilities.

That being said.... thanks for the reply! :D;)

Oh and sadly no pics... was on my way out and saw it so stopped by; my gf was intent on dragging me away from “another old watch!” :D

There are several Seamaster 200's and most won't know which reference applies to which model.
Even a stock picture will aid the conversation.

I had sold one for a friend years ago. It's an integrated bracelet. 99.9% sure you can't put it on a strap and it's not popular enough for options with custom end links. (At least, to buy premade.)

That model is known commonly as the Pre-Bond. The quartz type outnumber the autos massively and the smaller 36mm variant are much more common than the larger 40mm size for some reason. You might pick up a tatty 36mm quartz for maybe £400-500, but a private seller might ask more like £1K* for a decent full size auto. The OP watch looks like a mid size auto so would be somewhere in between I guess so the asking price is way over the top even allowing for retail mark up. Bear in mind bezels are totally unavailable so look for one in good condition. As above, no alternative strap fitment is possible. I don't personally think at present these are cheaper in the ROW, with the pound being still pretty weak prices are pretty similar, indeed some UK market watches look pretty cheap to ROW buyers for this reason currently

*I have personally sold full size Pre-Bonds of both quartz and auto flavour in the past few years on here.

What would the deal be for fitting other straps on these? The lug spacing looks tiny?

My local pornbroker (SIC) has a full size quartz pre bond in the window at the moment.

I forget exactly what he’s asking but it’s around £1300. I thought maybe I’m missing something on these but there again it still seems very expensive.
