Hey, Has anyone seen any banana dial seamasters around for sale? It really is a little beauty of watch
did you look on ebay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-Sea...339922?hash=item1c71069092:g:0XAAAOSwBahU94wkPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I'm assuming thats a new dial and not a vintage dial? Looks like you have a few interesting other dials there too
I have one of these and remember reading about the difference between the dial having 200 printed on it and not having 200 printed on it but can't remember the reason why.I have been looking on the Internet but can't find the site which explains the difference. Anyone here know why there is two different dials?
I took the photo while at my watchmaker....many members here have benefited from my visit with quite a few pairs of vintage 516 end link totally sold... given up my very own set . Quite tempted to hoard the dials now that they seems pretty much a good hedge against inflation...not sure if it is a vintage or omega came out with new banana variation....
As far as I am aware the difference in the two dials are that the figure 200 has a bold font on the early examples but a lighter weight font on the later ones. My example has the bold font.
Nice looking example, mine does not have 200 printed on it at all, I think I remember reading that the later ones did not have 200 written on them, but I have not seen too many pictures without 200 printed on the dial.
Not my watch but same dial and similar kind of damage/patina/ageing to the dial, although on mine it is only between 9 and 12. It is one of my favourites and the only one a stranger has ever commented on.
