Seamaster 166.009 vs 14762

Hi, just wondering what the differences are between the 166.009 and the 14762. I have seen both have either a magnifier for the date window and not. Also the same with the "hangar S" and rounded. Both use cal. 562.

I couldn't tell you on these two, but the 166.010 and 14744 are the same shape as well. Also, of these ones here, unless I'm mistaken, they're also the same shape as the 2677, 2848, 2846, 2849, etc. (the 'beefy lugs'). I've long wondered, but haven't ever figured it out; I presume it's just some convention established as Omega switched from 4- to 6-digit references, but that's just a guess.
