Local estate sale has this poor watch offered for sale. What’s going on with it. Bezel is missing majority of hash marks and dial/hands appear re-lumed. Worth driving 10 miles to take a look? Price unknown. Only 1 poor photo available. Anything about it that makes it interesting? Thoughts appreciated.

Edit - quick search indicates lack of hash marks may be the norm. Obviously, I know nothing about this model.

Here are a few other watches available at the same sale. Maybe I’ll have to go take a closer look at them.

Ten miles? I've driven further for a half decent BLT in the past. Go see what treasures you find, I'd say!

No treasures to be found, unfortunately. The Rolex's were priced high in my opinion, the Seamaster was sold, and the Omega automatic, reference unknown, had cracked replacement crystal, overpolished case, and inscription on back. Priced at $360, offered to me at $265. No deal.

Sad to hear, but probably a good call unfortunately. For a bit less the Auto might have made a fun project piece, but w/o more info and with the issues you mention....probably better to save the money and treat yourself to a good drink and a steak. 👍

I agree totally. But you never know unless you make the effort to go and look. 😀
