Hi all! I'm considering the purchase of a vintage Seamaster 120, quite new to the world of vintage seamasters, from my research it seems that it all checks out:

- Correct hands length
- Movement and case references match with the model
- Indent at 3 o clock visible from the picture
- Engraving in the back is quite deep but seems ok

All and all it seems legitimate, just very much polished and re-polished. I'd like to get your opinions on wether all my assumptions are correct, and if spending more than 1k on this would be advisable given the pretty worn down conditions.

Looks legit to me. The bezel wear is pretty heavy but not abnormal for a well worn watch. What are they asking for it? Price vs condition is the next question.

Thanks! well it's an auction so trying to figure out what I should be going for, looking on a few places online these have been going for close to 2k recently, I'm inclined to settle for a little less given the almost half eaten bezel.

The case and bezel are both pretty rough. If you love it, that's fine, but if you want to upgrade later, it will be hard to sell. So don't forget about the buyer's premium and possible service costs.

I think that’s fair. $2k would be optimist for this one but we can’t forget how rare it is to actually see a real one these days. For someone who loves wabi-sabi it would be an attractive watch as the dial is in nice shape which is where it really counts. I could see this going up to $1.7k

And this would be the non-starter for me. Even if it were $1k, I still wouldn’t wear it. But I don’t like a well worn watch- just a little wear for me.
