Seamaster 120 bezel help?

Hi everyone - I have an Omega Seamaster 120 that was previously my dad’s. As far as I know he bought it new, but I don’t know when. It was last serviced in 2017, and shortly after it was serviced I started wearing it occasionally. It seems to be in good working order as far as telling time. The rotating bezel cracked and unfortunately was lost… I have added some pictures, one from when it still had the bezel, and then front and back as it is today. I have no intentions of ever selling the watch, the sentimental value is far greater than the value of the watch - especially now that my dad is no longer around. As much as I would love to restore it perfectly, what I really want is to get it back to looking like something I can wear. From what I have read, bezels are no longer available from Omega, and are incredibly rare to find used ones. I don’t know if there are other ones made, or really how to go about getting this sorted. I have tried a couple of watch repair places and not had any luck. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help!

Unfortunately as you are aware the bezel for these is nigh on impossible to obtain. There are some replica/counterfeit ones out there, but they are, well fake and not really that close to original.

Set up an eBay search, but you'll be fighting everyone else too.

Good luck on your search.

^^ yup. This really is one of the scenarios where I don’t have a problem if an aftermarket (fake) alternative were available. Omega has orphaned this watch so we are on our own with them.

While you're hunting, also look for a complete watch with a crappy dial. You might be able to get one for about $1k and then sell the movement and case to recoup something. Just don't buy anything on Etsy.

If there’s no other option you could also ask @mcgyver to make you a bezel. He has a thread somewhere on OF which is about making custom made bezels. I dont have any experience with this but maybe he can help you.

I really like the 120’s and have various saved searches for them. Unfortunately over the last 5+ year I can only recall seeing two bezels for sale and neither were cheap.
There are fake versions but I’m not sure they’ll fit a genuine case.
Personally I’d wear it without a bezel and do as Dan suggested - keep an eye out for a complete watch with poor dial/case/movement then harvest the bezel and sell what’s left. On balance this is the quickest and most cost effective route
